Cascade Peaks RV Park
3 out of 5 Stars. Muddy! Even after two days of sunshine, most of the RV park (roads and RV spots) were muddy. Bring your gumboots. This place is massive! Most of the good sites by the river only have electric/water, no sewer. I would recommend spots 71-72 and 95-98. No close by facilities by the prime river spots other than a porta-potty that was relatively clean. Friendly staff.
Decent location if you are looking to explore / hike around Mt. St. Helen. Note that as of this writing, many roads to trails and observation center at the Mt. is still closed. See recent posts for local hiking. Park has a small country store with the basics including beer and firewood (the wood we bought was still wet and didn't burn well). Two local small golf courses within 15 minutes. People were fishing but didn't see anyone catch anything but a buzz while drinking beer. Local IGA and gas station are 15 minutes away. We brought our bikes, but really didn't see any decent biking trails. Stop by #huffnpuff for an Oreo milkshake after your hike.
